The book of Psalms contain poetic prayers and songs, words that God has given to us to pray and sing back to Him and in Him as well as encourage others with. Jesus Himself prayed the Psalms and the Church has been doing so for centuries. Ephesians 5:18-19 also tells us to “be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord.”
We are a nonprofit initiative inspiring prayer and creative worship from the Psalms—collaborating with artists, highlighting songs and celebrating the beauty of the scriptures for the body of Christ. We believe we need the Psalms now more than ever as our world continues to face turmoil, uncertainty and crisis. They remind us of our humanity, give us permission express ourselves fully to God as well as anchor us in His presence.
We'd love to collaborate with you, whether you're an artist, songwriter, musician, worshipper. If you have a song inspired by the Psalms — Let us know!
Why the Psalms?
The Psalms in itself are poetry and are filled with metaphors that evoke the imagination.
The Psalms invite us to make the prayers our own and pray for others in various circumstances.
The Psalms offer endless possibilities in how we can connect with God, especially through sensory means.
Through your generosity, we hope to help others engage in the beauty of these scriptures and connect with God in fresh ways.
“Whenever the Psalter is abandoned, an incomparable treasure vanishes from the Christian church. With its recovery will come unsuspected power.”—Dietrich Bonhoeffer
